As human beings we can’t know everything, if we did, we would be
perfect. Is that possible? I think not. Why is it then, we sometimes refuse to
take advantage of opportunities that could make our lives easier? Any little
thing that can help us should be utilized. Right? Absolutely. Well then, in my
experience, and I have over 14 years of it in the new home construction
industry, do people not take the time to become educated in the new home buying
process? I know this for a fact because I saw so many people who were anxious,
nervous, angry, bewildered, all because they just didn’t know enough about the
process that takes place after they purchased their new home from a builder.
Yes there are resources that offer explanations, even the builder will explain
procedures to their purchasers, yet the stress continues. Why is that?
The big secret is “getting along with your builder”. So
simple, yet not easy to acheive especially if your emotions have gotten the
better of you. There are classes geared to all kinds of things like, anger
management, how to live in a one income family, how to train your dog, and we
take advantage of these classes when we need the help. That is exactly what
needs to happen in the new home buying world. We need to be educated. Education
makes us better people. It helps us make informed decisions, it can help to
make our lives just a little bit easier, and it can help us understand our builders.
I truly believe that people should be enjoying the buying process,
and that by the time they get into their new homes, they should be feeling pure
joy, not uncertainty. So, what is my point? Take advantage of any assistance that you
can get. No matter what the situation, there is always room to learn, which will inevitably help to make your life easier.
Wouldn’t it be nice to feel what the sign says below? Well it can happen.
