Small Houses or Condos Can Be Amazing Spaces

If you live in a small space, forget the myth that you have to paint your walls light colours to prevent that dungeon feel. It’s not true.  You can use any colour you want to make a room uniquely your own.  If you do decide to use darker shades, use lights and lighter fabrics to brighten up the space.  Windows are also a wonderful source of light, so take advantage of them.  Another way to help add contrast to a darker walls up is to hang light coloured art or photos.

Our homes should reflect our own personalities, so don’t be afraid to work with colours, prints anything that will make you happy. The only rule for small spaces is, get rid of clutter, and don’t use over sized furniture.  Your space will look and feel so much bigger and airy.

Our home is our sanctuary, so it should have the look and feel that makes us happy to go home at the end of the day.

About dfconsultants

I have worked in the new home construction industry for 15 years as a Customer Care Manager. I identified a need in customer service which was not being addressed so I decided to start my own company and founded DF Consultants. We educate new home buyers in the After Sales Service process and procedures. Builders have also recognized the advantage of having DF Consultants on their team, so we work with them doing Quality Assurance Inspections (Pre-PDI's), right through to conducting professional PDI's with their purchasers. Our mission is to change the dynamics in the new home construction industry, to improve communcation between builders and their homeowners creating a strong and lasting relationship.
